Catching Up with Life

I should have wrote this earlier but I'll just be taking a short blog break, probably another week or so! See you in February!

Rosessm_11008

still here!

Just in case anyone might be wondering where I am...

I just need to get past a few more things on my to-do list and I'll be back in blogging/e-mailing form again, maybe sometime next week. June is just the busiest month ever! Hope all of you are doing well!

Time for Timer!

Bird2_41507

I'm cleaning on a Friday night. How fun is that? I'm taking a short break and saw the fabulous Heidi had these questions on her blog so I thought I'd post my answers here.

1. What did you eat for dinner tonight? Greek fast food from Daphne's.

2. What was the last concert you went to? Rob Thomas and Jewel.

3. What canceled TV show do you wish they would bring back? Friends.

4. What song is in your head right now? Summertime by The Sundays (which you may be listening to right now. I pilfered the link from Kelly's blog. What a cool site! :)

5. What is your favorite drugstore beauty product? Smackers lip gloss in strawberry.

6. What is your fantasy fashion item? Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim Baggy GM in Green.

7. What is your favorite movie that you love that you are ashamed to admit you love? I'm not ashamed to say that I love Grease 2. I wanted to be Michelle Pfeiffer.

8. What is your favorite song to jam to when no one is looking? Ms. New Booty by Bubba Sparxxx

9. What is the meaning of life? A condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

10. What is your favorite kind of chewing gum? I'm not a gum chewer anymore but when I was little I loved Gatorade gum and Big League Chew in grape.

Hey, do you want to be on the DT of a fabulous kit club? Cocoa Daisy is holding a DT call for 2 new members from April 22 - May 12. You can read the details here.

Have a great weekend!

we're old

While driving to pick up Aidan from school, I've been catching the Power 106 AquaNet set. They play all the old skool jams that are or were on those mix tapes that we used to love listening to. It made me think back to those good ol' days but, geez, it's called old skool now.

Allan and I just had a talk about way back when, how it was so hard just to get dressed and get ready for school. Kids have it so easy these days. All they have to do is throw on a pair of jeans and they're "in style." I remember how difficult it was just to be able to get the right clothes. Paperclips were a big commodity because those darned pants had to be tight at the bottom. You also had to have the cool jacket that had to be worn off your shoulders. How stupid was that?! But that was "in style." What else? Cavaricci's!! I bought Allan his one and only pair and he wore those to death. And the dancing...wasn't that just fun? Boys on one side, girls on the other and we'd have this long line going on. Everybody doing the Running Man, the Cabbage Patch, the Robocop...I've forgotten so many of them already. And the AquaNet! So was it our generation that made the hole in the ozone layer bigger? Even if you didn't have the clothes, at least your hair could be in style. The higher the better! There was alot of hairspray going on here...

We were young and happy and our hair was in style!  (I hope Aidan and Mia don't have to go through anything like this when they're teenagers.)

random stuff

Urbanlilygirlpaper

Did you know that I absolutely loooooove pretty paper. If I see one I like, I must have. It doesn't seem so bad because the papers are only $.50-.80 each. These are the new ones I'm attracted to - Urban Lily paper. I love the hibiscus flowers. I'm thinking of framing a few for Mia's room.

I bought the Pride and Prejudice DVD with Keira Knightley. Did any of guys watch the movie already? I read the book for a report I did in eighth grade, but I can't remember any of it. During that time, having to read a classic book was such a bore for me. Anyway, I want to see a romantic movie and, even though I enjoy them, I can't say that I have a favorite. What's yours?

Friday Funk

Adnmia12706sm

Last night I was feeling sorry for myself because I gained weight...and I didn't feel like doing anything about it. I don't know why but I feel so fatigued. My shoulders hurt, my hair's stringy...bleh. Other than my lovies who always make me happy, I've been finding solace for my depression on TV.

Have you watched Dancing With The Stars? Master P is horrible. He needs to be booted off the show. He's ruining it for the other stars who actually care about what they're doing. Who the heck is voting for him to keep him on?!!! As for the others, I can't decide who to root for. Lisa Rinna was awesome last night. Drew Lachey was surprisingly endearing because you can tell he really put some effort into his routine. Everyone else was good too.

Did you know that the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls is part Filipino? I just found out and now I'm a bigger fan just because of that.

And to tie it all together, PCD will be on Dancing With The Stars tonight. Yay!

American Idol, anyone? I like that 17 year old girl who sang Billie Holliday. I was glad to see some Filipinos when they went to SF but I don't understand why they always have to sing R & B. I can't wait to watch the Vegas try-outs because they should be crazy!

Happy Friday, everyone!
