Not too good...

...of a blogger lately. I feel so bad that I haven't been around for some time and I miss my friends! All I've been doing for the past two weeks is my regular routine and scrapbooking. We had our fun weekend at Disneyland and now we're just getting ready for Aidan's return to school on Wednesday. Yesterday we did a little daydreaming...

Here's the walkway to our fabulous, Spanish-style house on the hills.

The view from our balcony.

Napping on this ultra-comfy couch. I love it so much, as Aidan would say, I want to marry it.

Here's Aidan having a spot of tea at the patio.

And getting ready to sleep again.

We even like the bathroom to be dramatic.

Really, we were just walking through these new townhomes in Diamond Bar. I love looking at model homes but I never knew how fun it would be to take pictures of us in all the nicely decorated rooms. The bad part is that I always want to move afterwards, but a 3-bedroom home for $786,000 (edited from $730K) is just crazy.

We had dimsum at House Of Louie in West Covina. As you can see, Aidan and I are the crazy ones in the family. Allan's trying to ignore us.

Saturday was Aidan's belt test. He's a purple belt now! I got to hold the boards that he broke and I was so afraid he was going to kick me, but he did good!

We went out for Japanese food last Friday and I never thought I would see Aidan eat California rolls or say, "These are really good!"

This is my first layout in the KI Memories gallery! I did it for this weekly challenge and here's the book I used as my inspiration. I swear I looked all over my house and all over Amazon.com and I couldn't find anything truly inspiring. But I really like this book so I decided to copy the placement of the items on the cover. It's a stretch for sure.

OK, I promise I won't take weeks to update again. I have lots more layouts to show too. Now I'm going to catch up on my fave blogs and send out some e-mails!

Cleaning time yet again...

I spent the last few days dealing with lower back strain. I'm pretty sure it happened because I was digging holes in the backyard for our new plants, but it was weird because I didn't feel it until the next day. After Aidan's TKD class was over, I got up from my seat and all of the sudden there was pain. I couldn't stand up straight and I had to walk real slow. I'm still not at 100% but I'm so happy it's getting better. I haven't exercised for a week and I can feel my tummy bulging.

I'm still waiting for the SOMO August kit so right now I'm taking advantage of this bit of free time to clean my desk, but I always get so distracted. The computer is right in front of me so I'll check on all my favorite crafty blogs or browse through Etsy. My desk never ever gets really clean. My current banner is a great example of me being distracted. I thought, "Hey, I'll just put all these little things together and see what I can make out of it since I never know what to do with it all!" Really, I have baskets full of things that just don't belong anywhere.

Here's a couple layouts. The first is one I did for mR aka flyingmichelle. It was really suppose to be a swap but I didn't have any pics to give her at the time! Her family is so cute and Mia likes looking at this page because she's big on Dora and Diego.

And here's one for SOMO's July kit. Always handy with the camera now, I took this picture from our first time seeing Mia after coming back from CHA. It was so sweet how Aidan missed her.

And another thing about Aidan...at the end of his TKD class the Master will call out the kids who did well and they get colored tape put on their belts. Aidan was 3 for 3 this week. Not only are Allan and I proud, but he gets real excited too. We hope he sticks with it until he reaches black belt because that would be a sight to see.

Thank you to all my friends who commented on my previous post! I really, really appreciate it!

The First Happy Thing Today

I can finally reveal my latest! And this really is happiness...

10 Happy Things from the weekend

1. It was full of things to do and we got to take lots of pictures.

2. We got a rare family shot thanks to Lee.

3. Getting to dress up the girly-girl. I love Mia's flowery dress and gold sandals.

Miadressshoessm_8407

4. Aidan and I eating 3 Porto's Bakery cheese rolls each at Grace's baby shower. I'm still in denial. OK, I ate 4. And I'm not sorry.

5. Rediscovering Wahoo's Fish Taco at Fashion Island and enjoying every single bite of my Wahoo's Salad with Polynesian Shrimp.

6. Going to Roger's Gardens at Corona Del Mar and marvelling at all the wonderful plant life. It is the best nursery...so much better than going to a botanical garden because you can actually buy it if you want it.

7. Finally finding a brugmansia at said nursery after 2 weeks of searching at the local Home Depot and Lowes without any luck. It was definitely worth the 45 minute drive to get there. Thank you, Beez, for taking us and for planting it tonight even though the shovel broke because of that leftover giant root and you had to buy another one as well as an axe so you could finish the job.

8. Allan got this wonderful shot of Aidan and Mia at the nursery. Must. Be. Framed.

9.  5 out of 7 Girlahs on the wonderphone. Amber, Alex, Heidi, and Michelle, I was smiling the whole time. You guys are so great and I'm so glad to have you as friends. We missed you, Jamie and Deanna! Can't wait 'til the 7 of us are on at the same time! Wow.

10. And sleep....sleep is good :)
